Help with OC @ FX 8350 please ?

Hi,

Could someone please help me get the most out of my FX 8350 cpu by telling me how to OC it, it would be really a big help for me, i am not into OC that much so i don't really feel comfortable messing around with settings on my own, i would prefer someone with more knowledge to tell me what to modify and which settings i should use instead of me doing it on my own and frying components or who knows what.

I would really appreciate it a lot if an experienced user would help me out with it !

Here is what i am running, please ask me if you need more info:

CPU: AMD FX 8350
Cooler: Thermalright True Spirit 140
MB: Asus m5a97 EVO R 2.0 (have fan on VRM's)
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Elite 1866mhz 8gb (2x 4)

Thank you.

Ok so i got my cpu up to 4.5ghz at 1.35v but i have quite a dilemma regarding NB frequency and HT link values, default they are NB 2200 and HT 2400, from what i know my motherboard supports max HT 2400 but after the OC it is higher, should i be concerned, should i try to lower it more, how high can NB be also ?

My current values after OC are, NB: 2254 , HT: 2472

OCing the NB or HT doesn't really give you a performance boost, so leave them at stock.

Would it affect the life of my motherboard though ? I know max HT is 2400 for it but now its over that, should i be concerned ?

No, not really, only thing that will affect the life of your mobo is hitting certain voltages and temps being too high, ie: NB shouldnt hit more than 55-56C i believe
