Shadow Warrior: New FPS from Flying Wild Hog

I'm sort of surprised and very disappointed that this game isn't getting any attention here. Its a pc exclusive fps and is being reviewed very well all over the place. I've put a couple of hours in and its very polished. The game is just a ton of fun. I've been having more fun with this than any fps that I've played in quite a while. That includes Metro and Bioshock.

This game isn't really a sequel. Its more of a Serious Sam type game. Sort of like hard reset which flying wild hog also developed. This might have the best melee combat of any fps that I've ever played. It adds a very interesting mechanic to this type of game. I love it.

This game had my attention before and now it has my curiousity.

I will be buying it on sale for sure. I am one of those people that always buys games on sale. So anyway I will end up playing it.

Hard Reset was one of the smoothest games I ever played and I have faith that Shadow Warrior will even be a better experience.

Been playing it myself, and I'm loving every second of it. I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't support SLI (no idea about CrossFire) but turning off "mirror" and putting SSAO to High instead of Ultra gives me an 80+ FPS experience even when everything is exploding/gibbing during combat.

I have to agree, the melee combat is the smoothest of any first person game I've played. If Skyrim had handled this well in that department, I may never have stopped playing it, lol.

There's also quite a few references and easter eggs throughout the game for those who like exploring, and the dialogue between the two main characters is amusing if nothing else.

The game's not without its flaws, but it's a solid experience that I feel is worth the price of admission. If I were a reviewer, I'd give it an 8/10 quite handily.

SLI will work and work well if you use the hard reset compatibility profile with Nvidia inspector.

For some reason i'm getting around 12 fps in this game. Even though I toned down some settings.

Here my GTX 770m will not appear. maybe thats the problem?

EDIT:

NVM went into nvidia control panel and added the game to the list.. then selected my card as preferred graphics processor. biggrin.gif

this game is my surprise delight of the second half so far. completely addictive (idk if i got add or what, but i often have trouble gaming for more than 30-60 mins at a stretch; its the same w/ this game but i srsly get katana withdrawal).

surpisingly nice looking, & amazing gameplay; on the fun scale it probably beats anything ive played this year. only issue is that there are still some optimization kinks, though with the last patch & adding vsync + tbufferring ive noticed smoother gameplay.

anyone else having a blast w/ this game??
