Gigabyte Motherboard Z77X-UD3H repair fiasco

Thread Starter
After 5 months of use, and without open the chassis
My computer shut down by itself, then restart just to notice wont post (debug code 62)
After i did all possible things to fix it, from me and gigabyte customer service, finally i get a RMA
I sent them a motherboard, that had no physical damages, and with enough protective packaging
Recently I get a receiving notice, mentioning they have my mobo
But today i received a infamous email
Dear customer,
We recently received RMA# USA-1390574 and notice the product with unintentional physical damages. Due to the physical damage the product will not qualify for replacement and the warranty status will be REPAIR only. GIGABYTE will try to repair the damage areas of the product, instead of voiding the warranty. (Please note repair product may have minor cosmetic blemish due to repair process which include discoloration, soldering, and adhesive mask on all open PCB repair) After the board is successfully repaired, our quality control will fully test the product before it is returned. Please see attached file and below for details.
RMA# USA-1390574
MODLE NUMBER: GA-Z77X-UD3H
SERIAL NUMBER: 4719331810290SN125000031962
WARRANTY STATUS: REPAIR ONLY
Thank you

What the hell? too bad to be true
Here are some pics, from them

Notice half of square and 0 the then, voila repaired but on the pic, only getting a little from the squad, and 0 intact.

They damaged my mobo on purpose? moron technician? they switched the label, putting in an other crappy mobo?
Any Gigabyte's RMA pissed experience, and how to deal with them, or is just a waste of time...B]

What a way to scam le custumers....I feel sorry for you mate....just never buy from them again.

I wonder...don't each motherboard has a serial number thats trackable so they don't send back the wrong board or someones else mobo?
unless you imply they carefully switched out the serial numbers of your board to a trashed one...

I wonder if it's going to be a single case, or Gigabyte's RMA will become like Asus RMA fiasco...

Did you send it with original box and socket cover on? I could see the corner getting damaged to due packaging, but PCI-E slots don't come off on their own.

Actually i sent it with a deferent cardboard box, from the original and without socket cover, because i had read if i sent on it, they will keep it.

without socket cover

On that alone, you're responsible for socket damage. Never ship a motherboard without socket cover.

Well i'm guilty, the problem here is they didn't tell me, nothing about damaged packet, or how pins, pci slot and corner mobo get damaged.
Too late to call them, wait for monday
I saw complaints about gigabyte, in others webs
Anyway thank you guys.
