I'm tempted to not even respond to this drivel. But here it goes.
Overclocking isn't free if you have to spend $20 - $40 for an unlocked CPU. It isn't free if you have to spend 2x or more on a motherboard that allows overclocking. Overclocking isn't free if you have to spend $20-$60 on cooler to keep you from frying your CPU.
Games are extremely GPU dependent nowadays, and a vanilla i5 is sill blazing fast. Still fast enough to fuel 120hz monitors if you have the correct GPU.
And yes, a good mouse does matter. I'll admit, gaming keyboards are over rated. I do like a good mechanical one for RTS games, though. As a CS and Quake player I actually lol'd when you bragged about being good at call of duty.
Additionally, OP never explicitly stated peripherals were part of the 600 dollar budget. But it is implied when he added a $20 mouse/keyboard combo to his checkout. Jesus christ.
Overclocking is free. $20 is next to nothing for free performance. Are you just going to exaggerate to make your statements seem more valid? Are you really going to try to refute against overclocking on a forum about overclocking? $20 for a cooler, $20 more for a k chip and $50 more for a motherboard that allows overclocking and you are complaining or just trying nitpick because you're insane?
Games are extremely GPU dependent? LOL Have you played any new games at all? Or are you just going to continue to live in your fantasy land?
A good mouse does matter, but it doesn't need to cost $60. You want to spend $60 on a mouse but not $40 on a k chip and a decent cooler. Could you be any more ridiculous?
As a former CS and Quake 3 Arena player, I will tell you I will smash you in Quake Online, RA3 whatever, CS, whatever, any day of the week. As far as CS goes, you think CS takes skill? A bunch of kids camping in the same room? Please, CS is garbage and is the worst judgement of FPS skill in the world. COD takes far more skill than CS players could ever dream of having... It takes absolutely no skill to play that game, and half of the players hack.
He is adding $20 keyboard to his total budget and you are talking all this nonsense. Then you want to talk about drivel... please.
