SATA AHCI not working - HELP! - Page 2

You have to do this:

 

  1. Change the value for the "Start" subkey to '0' that is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci
  2. Reboot and go directly into the BIOS.
  3. Change the SATA mode to AHCI (make sure it's the correct SATA controller too)
  4. Start Windows
  5. If it still BSODs on startup, then as I said in #3, make sure you're changing the correct SATA controller because you may have two

did you change all the achi values i just did it for my server and i had to change like 4 for it to work.

you could try setting all these to 0 and see if it works that worked for me going from ahci to raid worth a shot i guess.

Ok. I done what you teach me but is not working too. Just now i had tried all the port seems is not working.

Thanks Bal3Wolf, i had try your solution too to change 4. But it still not working.

Did you try what I posted? I've run into the exact same issue that you are having and installing the Intel AHCI driver fixed it.

Install it then switch the registry to AHCI, reboot, go to bios and switch it back from IDE to AHCI and it should boot without issues.

May want to grab the Intel INF driver as well if you haven't already.

I had done Intel INF driver and sure i tried what you posted. Thats all we seach in Google too.

You know he may be having problems editing the registry correctly, there is a Microsoft Fixit that does this same thing he could download.

It feels weird rite? Microsoft Fix It i also download and fix before. Still not working.

Problem solved !!!

(Installing driver by myself from Windows Device Manager. When you install the AHCI driver from Device Manager will straight going to BSOD. Don't worry now you can set to AHCI)
