Right? I did have a Vizio ultrabook (nice thing. Horribly mushy keyboard) and it was really thin and just felt solid. Wasted space annoys me

Hey, is it me or is that none of you guys know what the OP mean by "gaming"? I mean, we don't even know what type of "gaming" he is talking about. Is it a casual gaming or the hardcore gaming?
If it is something a casual gaming, then Y500 is a bit overkill for him.
Y500 and Y510p is a decent gaming laptop, but I think we need some clarification about it.

I am not sure if I missed it where he told us what games he will be playing on his laptop.

Just the same as mostly any laptop can play a game, but can it play it well?

Going by Overclock.nets philosophy of pursuit of performance,

I gave him more, for more.

Obviously he can lean down his options.

You could help by suggesting a hard core gaming laptops and his options, Mid range gaming options, and casual gaming options. rolleyes.gif and in addition match some few game choices that each model will run smoothly.

I was simply suggesting something that was of great value that i thought was on sale for a killer price.

My fault there. Mostly I play Dota 2, CS:GO, Hitman Absolution, things like that. Nothing too hardcore (that's what the main rig is for). My old ultrabook had an i3 and Intel HD4000, got along ok mostly playing Dota on it (not sure what else I could play on it, was mostly a school ultrabook). I wouldn't complain about extra grunt

dota 2 probably plays ~ 50-60 fps max on a HD4000, CS:go should be super light?, Hitman i can see getting some frame rate hits on a HD4000,

I mean you can stick with a HD4000, and get a subpar laptop for ~ 529 being an i5, or ~ 700 even for ~ i7 and maybe with ssd with HD4000

Hmm. Wish there was more happy mediums around this time.

i would just keep trying to camp:

for a 750M laptop for a better price.

feel free to use other sites like techbargains.com
