speeding up case fans help?

Thread Starter
i have a nzxt apollo case with two 120mm fans which each plug into 4 pin molex connectors. Is it possable to speed up these fans or mod the wiring so that i can plug it into a 3 pin fan controller.

Fans usually can ran at 13v fine. However, the hard part is getting the additional voltage. All fan controllers maximum output voltage is still only 12v. You can use a DC/DC converter or another PSU. For the cost and complexity, just get more powerful fans.

I'm sure there is a way to add a VR trimmer somewhere betweenthe power and the fan. At that point I would imagine that it would work the same as a fan controller but with a broader range of speed. I have the ability to do this so I will try it for you and let you know. Unfortunately I have to go back to work ATM so you will need to wait till about 1:30AM EST.
