Just for Mantle in BF4? I sold my 990x because it allowed me to upgrade to Ivy which was better in everything that didn't need more than 4 cores. But I didn't do that just for one game.
Maybe I should rephrase, most people won't switch to AMD CPUs. There's nothing wrong with switching but I don't think the majority of people will. In which case, I don't think Mantle can be that relevant. It already requires a very specific subset of the graphics market. Getting an AMD GPU is in most cases not worse than an Nvidia GPU in all games, except for maybe the 780 and Titan. Getting an AMD CPU, for whatever reason, results in lower performance for most applications. I don't see people downgrading CPU performance just for Mantle.
