go here and input your entire system to see roughly the wattage you'd need

it has been known to overestimate your needs, but that makes sense. just to make sure you have ample amps
post #6 of 12
that site seems to say im in the limit so thanks.
Also one last thing the site says the card comes with a Power Splitter (2x4pin to 6pin) does this mean i would have to connect it directly to the psu
post #7 of 12
there should be a pci-express cable coming out of you power supply, its a six pin plugh and should have some indication that its pci-e. using the adapter may not give you enough amps if they are dedicated to a pci-e cable.
the splitter cable has 2 molex[4 point plugs] to one 6 point power plug that plugs into the card only 1 molex needs to be connected so you just need 1 free molex connecter in your system this is because its agp ... the pci-x 7600gts dont need any extra power they get it all from the pci-x slot

I'm sorry man, for some reason I assumed you had a pci-e graphics card. Yeah mrBoom is right, all you need is a free 4 pin molex connector

Are you sure about that? The 7600GT AGP should come with a 4-pin Molex Pass-Through, not a 2x4pin-to-6pin. The 7600GT AGP needs the additional power because the slot does not provide enough power. The PCIe version does not because of PCIe provides more power through the slot.

@mrb00m, you mean PCIe or PCI-e. PCI-X is a different interface.
Once again...
