Corsair 750D Owners Club - Page 215

I would prefer 7/16" ID and 5/8" OD myself, 3/4" OD is just too bulky imho... but that's my opinion wink.gif
post #2142 of 9557
Alright I settled on the 3/8 5/8 size. smile.gif

It was the fittings that pushed me to this size. Fittings for angled 1/2 3/4 compression fittings are just SO much bigger on the fitting than the metal on the angled part. Looks a little silly to me. tongue.gif

On another note I hear that Corsair is not only getting rid of the case nubs in the second revision of the case, but they are also going to be working to increase the airflow for the front intake.

How is the front intake for all of you? Is it really hampered all that much? I don't know whether or not it will be worth it to wait for the revised case because the only thing that I really care about in the revision will the the potential for better airflow. I don't plan to mount a bottom rad and I don't really care about the odd motherboard standoffs since I am not going to get a board with armor.

Anyone care to share how their airflow/temps differ with and without the front panel? smile.gif

To be honest if you take the front panel off you feel improvement coming from the front, however i dnt have a front rad in my case....I have 2 noiseblock pk-3 in the front, and even with the front cover on i can feel the air coming thru....I will mod the front of mine not because i need more air,but because i want a certain look....

Yeah i agree with the performance hit. Last night playing bf4 with my fans (stock af140l's) at 100% i looked at corsair link with the door closed and they read 1023rpm and with the door open they went up to 1130ish. Small gain but thats 10% almost just because of the increased flow to the fan. I couldnt imagine a more powerful and how much you would lose.

But it probably makes sweet FA difference but hey its a small gain.

I got a 750D for Christmas off the missus but I'm stumped at how to mount my reservoir on the case

I have a bitspower res and nowhere on the case seems to be the right place for mounting it

Has anyone got any tips on where to put it? On my old case it was mounted between the mobo and HDD bays on the right hand side but this doesn't seem as viable on the 750D due to standoffs etc

You can mount in on the hard drive cage, which i have done,or you can just mount it between the mobo and hard drive case....I have done it both ways with no problems, currently have mine mounted on the back panel next to the motherboard....

On the side of the case.... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Can't put it on the cage as I'll have a rad in the way

How did you manage to mount it on the case? The reservoir clip don't seem to sit nicely on the case

Reaper, be a good lad and show us pictures of the panel where you mounted the reservoir on please? thumb.gif
That way we can see exactly how and what you did to mount the reservoir smile.gif
I think this'll be extremely helpful to other members here as well (including me... tempted more and more to get this case... keep up the good builds)

I have a 240mm radiator mounted on the front of the case and when I remove the front panel, I notice a difference of almost 5c. I personally keep the front panel off. I saw a cool mod some OCN member did on a corsair 350D, where they made the front panel more breathable. Hopefully I can sell my current rig for at least $4500 and I will definitely be buying a new Corsair 760T!
