Great job on the build and pics, looks very nice! What gpu's? Also what led's do you have in there? Looking for a replacement for the kit and controller I have in mine now. For some reason even when I have my controller/led's set to white a few of them are green. I think it's starting to fail on me.

Thanks man. I have dual r9-290's in there (sapphire). The LED kit is a 6m NZXT Sleeved LED Kit in white.

This weekend I'll be making a PSU cover / midplate that will hide all the unsightly cables. It's going to be out of black acrylic. It will involve cutting and bending.

I'll post pics of the whole process if anyone else is interested.

Thanks man. I am loving the hell out of these cards. They run everything on my Apple CInema HD 30 @ 2560x1600 and look back at me saying, "that's it? that's all you got?!?" They also give me pretty decent hash rates, between 1700-2200 kh/s. I didn't originally buy them for mining but might as well now. As far as the clocks go, I can boost clocks to 1180/1500 and run firestrike and unigine heaven, however I can't play bf4 at more than 1000/1325 (go figure).

As I said I am very new to water cooling and so have no preference yet. Wondering what size tubing people think is the best/easiest to use and what fittings. I was reading that the best way to have fittings joining is a smaller ID onto a larger one e.g. 3/8 ID tube onto 1/2 barb? Or are compression fittings easier to use? Also how quiet are the standard fabs that come with the case? As I wpuld really like it to be as quite as possible.

Any suggestions for a fan controller for this case? Seems everything ruins the aesthetics for the front when putting anything into the front bays.

Bit crap as I want a fan controller to avoid a mess of wires on the mobo...

I personally use compression fittings. Unless you look very closely, I doubt you'd notice the difference between using barbs or fittings...both look nice.

3/8 ID onto 1/2 fitting is something most people do, indeed. However in reality, it doesn't really matter too much depending on what you're using. If it's compression fittings then go for atleast same size ID on tubing and fitting. If you go for barb then use a size smaller.

I was rolling with 3/8 ID on 1/2 compression fittings on my last build, didn't mean to buy different sizes but it worked out perfectly still.

Good luck with the watercooling, it's awesome smile.gif

So I should go with 3/8 ID tubing? It seems like that is the most common tubing used.
Also does anyone know a block that is compatible with the r9 270x?
