I took the grommets out and the 30mm were plenty long enough. It may depend slightly on the fan though, but the rads come with 30mm and 35mm

Didn't know the rads came with 2 lengths of screws.planning to not use the grommets as well.
The long screws that came with the h220 barely reached the rad as well....

Hey guys, I am planning my build and have come to be torn between the 350d and 750d. The 350d would work much better in terms of size seeing that I don't have completely limitless room, however I in no way want to bottleneck my build or future expansion by getting the 350d if you guys think it is too small. I am planning to watercool an i7 4770k slightly overclocked and a single gtx 780 sc. I have seen that the best solution for watercooling the 350d is via a drive bay reservoir, however I hate how those look from the front of the case, but cannot see where I could put a tube reservoir in the 350d without blocking the front radiator.
The 750d gives me plenty of room, however is more obtrusive in my room, and I find myself asking if I really need that extra space for what I plan on doing. It lets me put in a tube reservoir with no air flow issues, and also will provide better cooling if I plan to run sli in the future. but the compactness of the 350d is also very appealing. What do you guys think? If anyone has a picture of a 350d case next to a 750d I would also be eternally grateful smile.gif

Hey guys, I just ordered the 750D from the Egg.

I wont have a build in it for a while because I am having the 'Milky Way' airbrushed over her.

I think you know what you want to do, you just want to hear someone else say it, so I will. Get the 750 D. It's not a ton more expensive I got mine for only 130$ with shipping included. You won't have to worry about space for future upgrades and as long as you aren't trying to watercool like 4 titans in SLI it will be a case for life. The tube resses really fill the case quite nicely and there really are just a ton of options for mounting watercooling stuff in this case. Plus cable management is really good, I've found it lacking nothing so far.

Having owned a mid tower and then a 750d,i would say the same as jamaican.get the 750d.
The sheer size and space inside makes it more flexible for different builds, components and internal workings space.
I only recently purchased mine and have no regrets.it's definitely easier to work with than my tempest evo.

You will need to use washers with the alphacool provided screws if you plan on not using the rubber grommets.

I used washers with the grommets on my ST30. The grommets hold at first but a good tug on my rad pulled them right through. I didn't feel comfortable considering the added weight once the rad was full of water and how cheap 12x washers are.

I got rivet washers as the holes are perfectly sized for the alphacool screws.

Finally opened my 750D box today. Been sitting in my garage for about a week and a half. No serious issues, only one minor thing I found was a broken clip on the face mount where the 5.25 drives go through. I found the clip in the bottom of the case, took a few minutes to figure out where it came from. I'll contact corsair and hopefully they will send a new one. But I got started on the mods right away. It was a simple one, but felt good to finally open the box and start tinkering. removed the bottom of the 5.25 bay. Gotta start a build log and post up some pictures as progress continues.
