I still haven't ruled out just breaking down and doing Franken 750D with the MO-RA3 420 bracketed to the back of the chassis, it would be cheaper too (except for the Swiftech quick-release bulkhead fittings @ USD$75.00 apiece x2).

That would free up so much space, and I can keep the drives internal, suspended in a double-stack from the upper bays, probably with a black or dark-smoked acrylic blinder panel in front of them with slots or holes on the left side of them for airflow.

Putting the rad in the front, the first time I built into a 750D, made for long awkward runs that worked fine, but looked pretty bad then trying to find a decent place to mount the drive cages was difficult as there was really only one spot left, which doesn't always work with long PSU's, and fitting the 240ml Res in the font made for some awkward mounting challenges with the front Rad... Warning: first build Rad in front then rearranged to bottom (Click to show)

Maybe that's why Bertovzki went with the V1000 psu since it was the shortest high wattage one he could find for the rad he intended to fit into the bottom.
Well, at least your problem is solved and you could go about your business.

On a totally not 750D note, does anyone know of a case that mounts an ATX motherboard horizontally that is not Caselabs?

There's a couple that come to mind. Cooler master haf xb, and the thermal take core x9

Interesting. Thanks...
And thanks to @kc5vdj too. Any idea if they'll fit a NH-D15? Been toying with the idea of making a case from scratch. Basically a covered test bench. Something like this but for ATX

I kinda doubt it, maybe a smaller one, but.... That's off the top of my head, so I could be wrong. Some of them do appear quite thick.

Oh, and as for price premium, yes, Silberstone's LC-16B for instance is about USD$200+, and Lian Li, well, expect similar pricing for ATX horizontally anything Lian Li.

Does that Corsair Air cube go horizontal in the ATX? I know the ITX/uATX one does.

If you have access to the materials, like aluminum, for instance, doing your own could be a neat exercise. A lot of customs that are coming out that are totally custom. Some look pretty good.

I guess the basic measurements are available. Formfactors should have the holes.

It will bring in cool air to the top radiator.

I used Mayhem's Pastel Red concentrate. (the clear is from leak testing and initial post test to check on the CPU and temps after de-lidding the 4770k)

I use it as an intake because with the bottom fans being exhaust, i needed more intake fans to allow for better case pressure.. and also as Steezy mentioned, to provide fresh air to the top Rad. (it makes a massive difference in air flow for the top rad)
I would make the bottom fans intakes as well, but NB e-loops are notorious for being loud when in placed in "pull" or when grills/vents are placed in from of them.

I have been looking for other hard drive mount options, and I found these brackets: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Universal-Mounting-Bracket-BRACKET/dp/B0001UZQWG
Now I am probably going to install 2 drives so my question would 2 brackets fit the 5.25" drive bays when there is a 360mm rad is installed at the top? 45mm thick one with a fan
Many thanks smile.gif
