I actually don't know anything about acrylic or PETG staining, Ive never worked with either to know how they act, and I probably won't for the foreseeable future.

I think with the plasticizer-free tubing, like I have, it gets foggy because it's porous and can absorb water, and given time to dry out it will return to its clear state with maybe the exception of the yellowish tint. Which i assume, is due to contact with UV sources of light; in my case, the sun.)

With older plastizer based tubing, it leeches the plasticizer into the coolant which then cakes on the tubes, rez, rads and in the water blocks, giving it a milky look, hurting performance leading to lots of cleaning.

Now one odd thing I've seen is when mixing different colors of UV tubing, where green was leeching into the blue tubing cause it to appear teal from the outside but was actually turning the blue tubing green. Even more bizarre was that the Pastel White never saw any changes or color shifts. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

No leak test. I use air to leak test, so I know it's leak free.

I'm just powering the pump so I don't have to have the PC actually on.

I haven't heard of either yellowing. You must be mistaken for flexible tubing. I use PETG in mine.

Mine ain't yellered. I have the airflow front coming today and I tried out some plasti-dip and I love that stuff. It's so easy to paint with. What do you guys think of the grey. I was never happy with the other because there were so many imperfections in the paint job.

Now that's just weird.

I guess the fogginess is like what happens with fish tank tubing, come to think of it, that stuff yellows too. Been a while since I've had tropical fish (cats are far less a pain in the butt than the Oscars I had).

Well, they don't call water the universal solvent for nothing, I guess. Did any of that color get into your blocks?

I'm guessing the white uses something other than a dye or something.

I've been considering the options for chassis exterior should I choose to do this as a MO-RA3 Franken-750. I've been leaning towards PETG outside as well, but flexible would be easier for quick-disconnect, short of building a bracket for the tubing leading to the bulkhead quick disconnects for the PETG solution (basically to hold the two tubes in line and as a rigid assembly so that both can be removed at once). Using flexible tubing makes the whole back end of the chassis much simpler, but not as nice looking. All of this assumes I ditch the idea of internal (just gotta be different).

Mount the Mo-Ra to a window! Flexible tubing does make more sense than rigid if it's going to be external though. I think a series of short tube runs would keep it looking neat
