Nice build vid, its just the right speed, and really good looking build and loop, but with the black long sleeves and gloves you totally need the Mission Impossible theme going!

Ok, so got my new RMA fascia from Corsair today, quite fast over weekend shipping. Dismantling the old one was easy enough, but then the fun ended. I can NOT get the new fascia on, I can get either the top hooks in or the bottom ones, not all. When comparing the new and old fascia side by side I notice the bottom hooks doesn't line up (that set of hooks are located 10mm higher than on the old fascia, the top two sets are identical in position). frown.gif
Am I doing it wrong or did I get the wrong part?

Just to check if I made something wrong I tried to reattach my old fascia, and it clicked in without any problems whatsoever. Definitely the new front that is an incorrect part for my case.

That's really odd, unless they really sent you the wrong part. Post your ticket # and I'll double check just to be sure.

Looking at pictures of the airflow edition and see how they have removed the old dust filter in the front and now have a thin mesh on the backside of the front cover. The mesh looks like the 'holes' are fairly big, so will they really keep out the fine dust particles? Also, since the air for the front fans was never taken through the front anyway, but rather through the side gaps, won't this just suck the dusty air in around the new filter instead of the through it?

Thank you, but as I never closed the ticket (help from support have been really good), I was told another fascia would be sent out just in case they did send me the wrong part, but if that didn't fit either they would have to replace the case (After that update I haven't hear anything more though, nor have I received a shipping notification). If we get that far I'm afraid I would have to settle for living with a broken case though as there is no way I could completely dismantle this machine (or afford) to send my current case back to you for replacement.
The part I got looks identical to my old fascia from the front and although there are some minor differences on the inside of it everything lines up with the exception of the bottom pair of hooks.
My thinking is that there had to have been a slight design modification of the case after the initial batch (I was an early adopter as I'm a fan of Corsairs products (current case contain 16GB of Vengeance DDR3 ram, AX760i psu and H100i AiO cooler, used to also have a Corsair SSD in there, but it went bad on me and has been retired), either the change was earlier or happened with the introduction of the airflow version, but somewhere along the line a change must have been made.

Ed: forgot, @Corsair Joseph the ticket ID is 6689956.

I hope it was just a factory defect, but let's wait for the new replacement and see it has the same layout. If not, then we'll have to figure out a way to sort it out.

Not really sure if there were any changes between the first batches and later ones. There was one minor change I believe, but it wasn't related to the front fascia of the case nor the overall frame.

I did check your ticket and looks like the new replacement is on its way.

Sounds good, while this is unlucky I really can't complain about how it's been handled. I find it hard to see how it could be a defect though as the fascia is molded and there seems to be nothing wrong or damaged about it. As for it having been shipped I haven't gotten any notice of that, the ticket is marked as shipped, but that is for the original, non-matching, fascia.

Went out to my store room and dug up the box, took a picture of the labels with serial/batch info if that is of any use and help?
