In my case it has zero to do with my modding of the mobo tray...on the contrary...it is now far stronger than originaly..it is the thin flimsy sheeting that it is made of..you can see the bow in it and you push is with your finger tip and it pops back like a spring...it is just something that missed quality control
post #8972 of 9557
I'd gladly go for less cable width space behind the tray if they just made the metal thicker

Hey 750D's.
I have the Airflow edition of the case. Have to make a decision for my CPU cooler....but i canot make one. My options are a Predator 360(360mm rad) or a H115i (280 rad).
I currently have H100i GTX but i dont like how its performing, even tho i oc my 5820k with 1.16v @ 4.5Ghz, temps go up in the 70's.
I know the Predator 360 fits in the case, but not with push/pull (except if i go with x3 Slim 13mm fans).
Really like the Corsair cpu block and how it looks and i somehow lean towards the H115i, and i can do push/pull with normal fans. I've seen a few reviews where the H110i Gt (similar with H110i GTX or H115i) is better or almost equal to the Predator 360, even tho i do not belive that to be true.
I need some opinions if i should go for the Predator 360 push/pull (with 13mm slim fans doing push and the vardar fans pulling) or save some money and go for the H115i push/pull (25mm fans).
My logic says that the Predator 360 should beat the crap out of any 240/280 AIO's cause of its thicker and longer rad.
I won't plan in expanding the loop in the future.
I know some may say a 360 rad for the cpu only its overkill but i do not really care.

What should i go for ? Watched so many reviews and read so many threads my mind is shredded atm and i can't make any decision.

Thank you.

I would say, definitely go with the Predator 360. You wouldn't even need to run it in push-pull. Either push or pull would be fine 3x120mm rad space should be more than sufficient to dissipate the heat. If you still do insist on running it in a push-pull setup, you could offset the rad mount closer to the windowed side, i.e. you wouldn't be using the stock mounting holes.

Also, with the predator you get the ability to expand, and i know you said you won't but I said I wont go back to water and what's happening now? I'm buying up parts for a rigid tubing build.. biggrin.gif

Thank you for feedback.
Regarding the offset mount, i do not think its possible, cause i will hit the 5.2 bay. From my measurements, i'll hit that bay on the clear side of the case. Probably it would be smarter to buy it w/o the push fans, and see after that if i can offset it or something.
I'm not interested in expanding it cause to me the predator's tubing looks like crap, the QD like a washing machine. All flexible tubings look kinda crappy to me, the other option would be what you are trying to do, a rigid build, but i know nothing about fittings and other things and i do not wanna get involved in custom water cooling atm. Beside that its very expensive too.

Fair enough. I don't really have experience with offsetting mounts as well. I kinda just work around the limitations of the case. The predator with one set of fans should be sufficient for your needs. do keep us updated in case someone has the same questions in the future. And yeah, I agree that soft tubing doesn't really provide the cleanest look but once you make a complete cpu+gpu loop, it really doesn't look too bad as your tubing runs won't be very long.

If you ever do go rigid, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask here as well as on the watercooling section

My build in the 750D is finished.
It ended up a bit more practical then I had in mind, but since its too weak to mod, so is this just till I can afford a replacement (ether a Parvum or a Caselabs).

@Chiobe That is amazing! if only your cards were under water as well. I give the thumbs up to both your future case choices. Both amazing, but unobtainable to me (at a reasonable price) biggrin.gif

Your res is awesome too...is it the Frozen Q one? Also, How's the alphacool pump?
