Finding a CPU for my brother's build

So, after many months of showing my brother how good PC gaming is I have finally convinced him to stray from his console comfort zone and come to pc. since I am the PC builder in the family I am expected to plan and put this thing together. So, when I asked him what he wanted it to do he said he wanted it to run planet side 2 at low-medium settings with 60FPS at 900p. Here is what I have come up with so far:

Case: COUGAR Spike: 20 dollars
MOBO: Asus M5A78L-M LX3 AM3+: 45 dollars
GPU: Radeon HD 7850 1GB: 130 dollars
RAM:Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1x8 1600: 55.25 dollars
CPU: Still deciding: Dunno
CPU cooler: Hopefully it comes with a stock cooler, if not it wont be a problem:
PSU: Corsair CX 500 500w: 25 dollars

I am pretty sure these are the cheapest way to go in terms of running planet side 2 at medium-low settings at 60FPS in 900p. I am just speculating with the video card though, if anybody has this card and can tell me if it will do the job or not it would be greatly appreciated.

All input appreciated
Thanks guys

Have fun throttling that 6300 in that mobo. That mobo is not good to run any FX chip.

You can probably find some cheaper RAM. I'd also get 2 sticks for unganged dual channel. Better performance.

That motherboard isn't good, go for a 970 chipset. The older 780G will make the FX drag a bit.

HD 7850 should have no problem running everything on high at that resolution.

I'd invest in an aftermarket cooler unless your friend likes some noise when running games. A cheaper Hyper 212 Evo will do (yes they are overrated but fine if you don't overclock).

The power supply is on Corsairs bottom list of quality power supplies. I'd personally reconsider it.

I have this motherboard ""M5A97-R2"" paired with a 6300,,,it has 4+2 power phasing,,,heatsinks over the VRMs,,,

get the hyper 212+,,for cooling,,,

if your budget is way over then look for a phenom II x4 chip,,,and get the motherboard your looking at,,a phenom II x4 chip will do just as good as a 6300,,paired with a 7850

and now that I read the specs on the M5A78L-M LX3 AM3,,,,its a real POS,,,also any worthy used thuban or denab chips are twice the price of the 6300 and the M5A78L-M LX3 AM3,,,,doesnt support them,,,,

Well I will be sure to return the motherboard, hopefully it will come in time for me to build it this weekend. Thank you everybody who warned me about the motherboard. I will be on the lookout but I need a mini ATX motherboard so those will not do, but thanks.
