Unusual CPU temps help? - Page 2

When your HDDs kicked on in the night it was likely w7 indexing. Or perhaps an automatic virus scan. But I seriously doubt that would be enough CPU load to create a 10 degree change on your setup. Something seems fishy, 50c idle witH an aftermarket cooler... Not acceptable

Add the second fan to the HS, i have a similar model but with only 6 heatpipes, great improovement over stock of course, but not what i spected, and since i live in very hot tropical, playing at 12pm games like FSX will hit 55°C not matter if i put my personal fan directing to my pc!

The second fan helps a bit, but like 2 or 3 degrees for me here.thumb.gif
