Finally some concrete information about the launch date came from a leaked slides.

This post will be quite short, don’t expect any final specifications to be shown here. The most reliable specs came from Softpedia right afer GPU14 event, and this is what is considered to be the most valid information available at the moment.

Moving on to launch date. In few days you will be able to pre-order a R9 290X bundle with Battlefield 4. What is surprising is that the specifications and the price of this bundle remains unknown, and it will stay like this until NDA lifts, which will happen on October 15th.

NDA lifts on the 15th that isn't exactly the same as availability what makes me wonder a pre order would get you your card on the 15th might be worth it.

Well, the NDA lift means the reviewers are allowed to speak of it, in which case the card is being released.

exactly so depending on whether or not there is availability it is a paper launch.
I figure it is a hard launch though.

That means those who will pre-order won't get their cards until sometime after the 15th.

What does BF4 release have to do with anything? You could potentially get your card on the 15th, and register the BF4 code it comes with, which could just flag your Origin account with a "preorder" of BF4. Who knows?

This release has me excited, I like seeing improvements, even if it won't affect me for a few years yet. As I shouldn't need to upgrade any time soon .
