since I don't have any parts and ended up needing to make an un expected trip to the hospital that ate up most of the money I had allotted for this project after having a bit of a set back with my fan/radiator spacer shroud thing (I'll get in to that in a later update) I wasnt expecting to have an update till tomorrow or the end of the week.
But I got bored..... so here is another little bitty update
I ended up cutting out the part of the drive bay that was in the way of where I want the radiator
I'm not going to cut the back part out just yet as I'm not 100% sure I need to and I don't want to make any more cut than I need to
I pulled out my trusty file to clean up my cuts again and decided to go all the way to the wall on the sides and just straiten out the longer cross cuts
I'm not too worried about the scratches in the paint and I'm probably going to repaint most of the internal parts any way and they are not that deap
threw the fans back in the front with the spacer blank I made the other day and the radiator taped to it to check the hole and make sure every thing was how I wanted it
looks good to me.
even have plenty of space to fool with the fittings from both sides (planed into the hole size)
and the ports look high enough that the plumbing shouldn't interfere with the cage much, if at all.
I had planned on the fan controller I want to take up about 3 inches from the front of the case so I put the spacer back in and used it to measure from when I drew the cut lines.
I even have a bit of room to spare.
God I make a mess.....
that little pile is about a cm high
and my helper even decided to show up today.
she has been staying in her bed next to my computer desk the last few times I have been working up in the shop.
thanks again for visiting. I hope to have something more interesting for you all tomorrow or later in the week. comments and suggestions are always welcomed as they quite often give me ideas or help me figure out the details of one I already have!
