The In Win offers USB3 on the front as well as the 5.25" bay, and also a low profile PCIe bay. I don't need any of those three things right now, but this will leave me open to switching things up, should I ever decide to.

I actually pulled the trigger on everything but the case so far, including a Mushkin 8GB USB3 flash drive and the Esky Mini i8 remote. I can get the In Win for $50.99, so I'm wanting to see if I can find anything better for around the same price.
You probably won't find anything fanless at that size.... nor would you want one. You just want inaudible.

I have an InWin BM639 Mini-ITX.... it has a decent 160w PSU. I got the thing for like $60?

Unfortunately, the OEM is now selling it through Thermaltake (with USB3.0 and some redesign) for $105.

Thanks for the links. That is a nice case, but my HTPC will be on it's side. That Thermaltake is like 4.5" thick, where as that In Win I linked yesterday is like 3.9". Not much of a difference, but yeah...I ordered the In Win last night. I am concerned about the PSU but that's easily replacable. This will be on a shelf under my TV, so it won't be all that visible and shouldn't require and line of sight for the remote (2.4GHz wireless, and all). As long as I can power the thing on (or at least wake it up) from the remote, I should be fine.

I should receive everything tomorrow, so I will be starting a build thread sometime today. It's been a while since I've done a build thread. smile.gif

EDIT:
I found a review of the PSU that is in this case:
http://hardwareinsights.com/wp/in-winpower-man-ip-s300ff1-0-tfx-review/

Only negative things he said about it was not enough connectors (only 2 SATA and 2 Molex, which is more than I will need), a little loud under load (not a problem since I have a large fish tank in my living room which creates ambient noise that will likely drown out any PSU noise), and most importantly, low quality caps. Time will tell on that one.

PSU did better than I would have expected.

I recommend cutting out the fan grill to improve the air flow slightly and reduce noise.

You referring to the fan grill on the side of the case?

I was thinking about cutting that whole thing out, and putting a 120mm fan IN that area, with a fancy grill on the fan (assuming that opening is no larger than 120mm by 120mm).

I meant the fan grill on the PSU.

Holesaw a 120mm fan and you can use something like this to cover the ugly: http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=251
