I have hit 4.7ghz with the H80 and 4.9ghz with a H100 both I had 2 AP-29 on them. Plus H80i would do it with different fans on it.

EDIT
I forget to add that this is with a FX-8320.

This is assuming sound is not an issue. These corsair hydros can take some heat when the fans are on full blast, but what if OP is going with an AIC for quietness? Plus, your saying that he could spend $35 on fans, money that should really be spent on a more capable case.

the case is all about the quiet. If you;re not going for silent computing you want nothing to do with this case in the first place. It actually has so little cooling on purpose. The idea is to contain the sound. It's got sound dampening everywhere.

That;s the thing about silent computing. There;s a limit to how hard you can push the hardware. You can make a silent gamer with a case like this, but you can't make a silent benchmark monster without full on custom water cooling. And this case is not what you do that with.

Then why are you posting on OVERCLOCK.NET ?? This site is all about getting the most performance from your cpu and graphics, and motherboards. Yes, many of us want to do this in as quiet a way as is possible, and that is why we like quiet fans and pumps etc. However silence with no performance is antithetical to all this web site is about. If you want silence you don't buy a heat producing cpu that is designed for overclocking. You for a cool and quiet cpu that is designed more efficiently.

hey i;ve seen folks posting here about cell phones. There's a whole thread section on silent computing. And if dude wants this case this is what he wants. If he doesn't he shouldn't be using this case. I think we agree on that at least.

And who are you to dictate to him what he should do? talk about lack of common sense

No, you have the problem . Instead of educating the chap you want to massage him and let him live with his misconceptions. that is doing no favor for him. In the end by catering to him , instead of pointing out the issues, he will pay more money not less. Some friend.

Now the real question seems to be this: Can you adequately cool a FX8350 and give it at least a reasonable overclock (which I understand they need) with a single 120mm AIO cooler? Remember this is NOT a 220w monster, it's a 125w chip. A few people here seem to be claiming it can't be done. I ask you to make your argument.

This thing is actually kind of a dream build for me. I'm a silent computing fan. I personally would mount two AIOs. One for the CPU, and one for the GPU via the red mod http://www.overclock.net/t/1203636/official-amd-ati-gpu-mod-club-aka-the-red-mod
I can attest to the H55 which pales in comparison to the h80. H55 will get you 4.6ghz in normal situations so most with the H80 will be 4.8ghz in normal temps. Having just two exhaust though you have to consider slightly higher internal ambient temps so 4.6ghz is the safer max with the H80.
