[OCA] AMD postpones preoders on Radeon R9 290X with Battlefield 4 bundle?

During the GPU Tech Day AMD announced that starting from October 3rd everyone will be able to pre-oder R9 290X packed with an exclusive title – Battlefield 4. Apparently this is no longer true. SweClockers claim that this could be related to the very limited quantity of available R9 290X graphics cards on the market, or more precisely being manufactured.

Bahahahaha

Well, to be fair, I guess that they realized that very few people, other than AMD fanboi's, would bother pre-ordering something without knowing the spec's and prices for what is largely just a "re-branding" of the last generation cards.

According to a store owner there are actually more back orders for this than for the Titan this card will be beast and who cares for the pre order as the release is the 15th plenty of time thumb.gif

Here is the most sad thing from that article ...
Quote:
Few days ago LegitReviews claimed that the bundle will be available in a very limited number of 8,000 units.

That is, if true, a truly PATHETIC number of cards to be made. Not even Titan is that limited.

But honestly, it does seem to be in line with AMD's most recent "limited availability" 5GHz CPU.

I don't think the card itself will be limited...just the bundle will be limited.

This is actually good news to me. They should reveal specs before accepting any kind of preorder.
