Yeah, he pretty well ruled that out in his OP. Not to mention Lack Tables are only 21 5/8" deep, where he also mentioned his equipment was 23.5" deep.
However, depending on what tools and supplies you have available to you, you could get some sort of panel/plywood and put a piece on each side, using two Lack Tables, one behind the other. With the remaining space on the back, you could mount network equipment (that's not nearly as deep), to fully utilize the table(s). It could work, but would be ugly.
As far as finding a small cabinet, your best bet will be looking for the kind that are made to mount on the wall. Check eBay near you, as well as CL. If you do decide you can go with a 4 post rack, the Norco R4-15U would be perfect at $160. Cabinets, inherently, cost way more.
