USB drive question

Thread Starter
I have a USB 3.0 drive that I put larger files on sometimes. It will popup the usual "5 minutes remaining ..." thing, but then when it gets down to "5 seconds remaining" it stays there for about 5-10 minutes before finishing. This is pretty useless because there's no way to know how much time the transfer is going to take if it's just going to add on an unknown amount of time at the end anyway. Is there any way to enable these transfer windows to accurately display the amount of time it will take to fully transfer the file(s)?

Disable file caching (not recommended) and it will update the way you want to see it. M$ didn't calculate file-caching in its timer application.rolleyes.gif
