Componet & BNC

Thread Starter
Anyone know the specs of Componet Video & BNC connectors? I have a BNC connection Monitor, and it has 5 seperate hooks up. As far as I know, BNC is Red, Blue, Green, H Sync, V Sync.

I know componet has the 5 plugs, but I'm not sure if 2 of those are for stereo, which would make it Red, Blue, Green, with Sync on Green. Or if it's something else. Then, of course, is the same sort of current? Or do I need to change something, add a resistor, or something like that.

anyone have any ideas on that? Or does anyone know a bit about componet, that can fill me in on the details?

thanks

component carries the sync on the green channel. I do audio visual for a living and I use 5 wire all the time. you can get 5wire to vga if you need. Also some 5 wire you can hook up component devices through the green as well. its hard to tell without seeing the monitor though. you are correct about the five wire
