Which one of these will be better for gaming? - Page 2

YES! That's the best deal I've seen for that machine yet. It's only got the 1600x900 screen... but that looks perfect for a 14" laptop anyway. That and the 750M is a wonderous little thing. :3 Quite capable in games.

If you can stretch the budget to buy that model, then do it. biggrin.gif Totally worth it. ^_^

The 610m and 720m are out or should be as far as gaming is concerned. The AMD APU is weak, the i3/i5 is much better for gaming. I'd take an i5 over a mobile AMD quad any day. That only leaves the MSI CX61.

The market for this segment is terrible right now. You'd be better off lurking on Craigslist/Amazon/Ebay for a G73/74/53/46 or something similar.

Ew... that's the gimped 560M... and on top of that it's a 560M... Ew.... D:

The Lenovo he found is obscenely better in every respect that matters. Size permitting, the Y410 is just better.

Yeah you're right. I thought the Lenovo was more (I checked everywhere), ...probably got confused with the price at the Lenovo site where they're $780 and much above the his budget.

TC should definitely grab that Lenovo if possible.

My requirements are:

  • No more than $700 USD
  • Dedicated Graphics
  • Quad core processor

I have heard that the AMD 8750M is better than the Nvidia cards, but to get the AMD graphics card i have to get an AMD CPU and i have heard that the Intel CPUs are a lot better than AMD cpus, so i wanted to get the opinion of someone that knows more about this than i do.

Here is a comparison on newegg with all the specs of each laptop

Hmm, oddly, no one question the OP what games he'll be playing.
Say, OP, what games are you going to be playing on a laptop?

In this case you really didn't need to, there was really only one answer as far as which of his 5 was best for gaming. The MSI.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The 610m and 720m are a separate, lower class and can get tossed out immediately. The final two come down to CPU and the Intel is the obvious choice. The suggestion of the Lenovo is just a good FREAKIN TERRIFFIC deal. The upgrade to a quad alone is worth the additional $35 twice over.
