Case Labs: school me on pedestal options for an M8

Magnum M8 owner here, looking for info on pedestals. I'm getting the itch to buy myself an early Christmas gift, or three. smile.gif Like maybe an M8 pedestal stuffed with rads that I don't really need but want just because they'll fit, not to mention adding 6 inches to my e-pecker. smile.gif So the key questions are:

1) assuming I'll mount twin 360s in this (I'm thinking 2 TFC Admiral 360 rads), do I need any extra mounting hardware other than what comes with the pedestal?
2) are there any bottom plate options? I'd like to relocate my dual D5 pumps, currently using Aquacomputer D5 tops. Is there any special mounting gear to help with this?
3) can you put a HDD cage in a pedestal? Even with 2 rads? Or is there a trade-off there?
4) any other noob stuff I should be aware of?

Hey Bart,

1. you will need the radiator side mounts for this http://www.caselabs-store.com/120-3-radiator-side-mount/

2. The bottom plate on the M8 Pedestal is the same thickness as the frame of the case (.090'') So you could mount pumps directly to this. Otherwise you can check out the bottom accessory mounts http://www.caselabs-store.com/bottom-accessory-mounts-1/

3. I stole this from a build log here on OCN

The rads appear to be 60mm thick so that should give you some perspective.

4. Nothing I can think of rolleyes.gif

Great, thanks for the info Kevin! I find your site very hard to browse for parts now (really hate those categories!). Thank god for the search function, or I wouldn't even have found the pedestals. smile.gif

Question about the bottom mounts though: how do they mount to the floor of the pedestal? I didn't see any 120mm holes in the pedestal bottom. I don't think I've seen enough detailed pics of that bottom. All I see is two big holes. I feel like I'm missing something, or I'm stupid! smile.gif

Ya I not in love with the website structure, but it works rolleyes.gif

The bottom mounts attach over any 120mm fan hole. Otherwise when there is no fan hole you would need to drill holes to make it work. Like I said though the bottom of the Pedestal is very sturdy and can accommodate a pump no problem.

If you had put the pedestals under "accessories" instead of in the case section, I would have found them easier. tongue.gif Thanks again for the info sir.

When we had the Pedestals in their own section (away from their corresponding cases), some people were confused as to which one fit their case. When we put them with the cases it eliminated the confusion. I have however changed the category name to "PC Cases and Pedestals". Thanks for the input thumb.gif
