I can see this if they wanted to keep leaderboards/public regions relatively 'safe' and intact.

But I'd like to see a per-region flag that disables leaderboards and maybe affect on global market (or other similar out-of-region affects). Then everyone knows what they're getting into when they join a moddable region.

Not smart, if you allowed full modding this game could be hugely improved, and you get free press and more sales if people make impressive mods.

This probably is due to it causing issues with their "cloud computing" however and very sure the real reason that mods are getting allowed less and less is due to DLCs...that is what a lot of the DLCs are...mods. Some actually are substantial content additions...but a lot aren't.

Man, the more I hear about SimCity the more cancerous it sounds. I'm glad I was never a fan of these games and I feel bad for anyone whose video game preference is SimCity.
