Freaking evga 7800 Gt CO

I submitted this question to evga support team december 17:
After Installed my New Card on My PC, I ran 3dmark and then my screen starts to distort and freeze/de-freeze. I touched my card and notice it was really hot at some places. So I added an other fan directing air to the card. The problem still occure. I also noticed that the distortion changes when I touch the power cable of the card. So I changed My power supply thinking that It may be a power problem but with no results. I removed the card and Noticed that the upper right capacitor (juste above the power connector) (I think it's a capacitor..) is just no longer attached to the card. It still hang to the card by a little corner but not more. So what can I do? can my distortion problem be linked to my broken capacitor? Is my card warranty for that kind of problem? If not, can It be fixed by a technician or someone? Thanks for you help. P.S. E-mail communication is preffered because as you may noticed, I'm french and my english is not very good. Thanks.

Answered By Eric A (12/17/2006 2:30:27 AM): Is there a possibility you may email us a picture of the damaged capacitor on the card? We would like to see where exactly on the card is the capacitor falling off of and know so if warranty is needed, we have it in our records. -EVGA Tech Team

---------------------------------------------------------
So I sent a picture as asked and since that, no reply. And since I was tired to wait, I decided to weld the capacitor in place by myself thinking that it may solve the problem, (even if it probably void my warranty ). But finally, the problem still occure. I tough it may be my motherboard so I tested an asus graphic card on it and everything works fine. Any of you have experienced this problem or have suggestions?
p.s.: The first power supply tested was a Hec Orion 585w, and the second is a Cooler Master 450w

thanks

Now That I welded on it, it's sure that it is customer damaged.

I know I should have wait.. and yeah I welded the thing in place but maybe not exactly as the guy on your picture lol.

And for every body else who think "what kind of idiot can weld on his video card" I don't really need you to tell me "you should have wait" I know that, and now that I'm little in the ****, I want to know isn't there anybody who's like electronical technician or something who have any idea why the hell my card is all ****ed up (except the reason that I welded on it )

Why didn't you call EVGA directly and ask for Eric? He's usually on during weeknights PST.

Did you actually weld the cap back on? If so, the heat probably killed card. Or did you solder it back on?
Once again...

I didn't call Eric, because I'm french and my english is really bad
and because my english is so bad, I said that I welded the cap in place, but I probably meant solder since I used a 14 watt iron and not a 220v 200amp welding machine... sorry for the mistake, thanks

Since the little legs of the cap were a little bent I removed the old cap, and then replace it with a new one, but with no more result.
