I commented on this many pages ago. My suggestion would be to use both locations as intake with the only exhaust being the rear 140 or both as exhaust and tape up the additional vents under the top and front to keep the air from returning to the case.
Won't know what works best until someone tries them out. I'm going to tape the vents closed for my build and see how that plays out.
That worked for me!
I originally had intake front, exhaust top
Also had my h80i as a rear intake to bring cool air over the rad
Removed all the unused HDD trays from the front, made the top an intake (3 x 120mm) and the h80i rear exhaust
It has shaved a few degrees off the cpu & gpu temps, but best of all my vrm temps have dropped considerably now the fans are pushing cool air on to them
VRMs top out at 50C, whereas before changing anything it was getting up to 65C
