So is anyone going to wait for the Black and Red?
Every website is giving completely different dispatch dates....
Might have to go with the white/black and have the inside powder coated black instead....

Awesome idea.
Would it be a noticeable difference between the two?

Im considering the idea of mounting my res horizontally where the SSD's would normally go and installing the SSD's near the power supply....
What are your thoughts??
Has anyone mounted a res horizontal before?

I've seen it done before, can't remember where in the case it was mounted (not a H440). Sounds like it would be pretty sweet location for it, you gotta make sure though that the pump is below the res so that it always fed water and not trying to suck air.

PS, there is a edit function so that you don't have to make multiple post. The little pen at the bottom left of your post.

Depends on the res...remember, it would be right under/next to your video cards.

Sure have, a whiwle back in a buddies 800d

Just make sure pump is being fed 100%

Also the 800d has more room between end of gpu's and left side panel so take that into consideration it was tight even here with the big d5 pump mount. Im looking to get my hands on a h440 soon, I have a spare d5 pump and mounting system and res ill mock fit

Won't know what works best until someone tries them out. I'm going to tape the vents closed for my build and see how that plays out.

That worked for me!

I originally had intake front, exhaust top
Also had my h80i as a rear intake to bring cool air over the rad

Removed all the unused HDD trays from the front, made the top an intake (3 x 120mm) and the h80i rear exhaust

It has shaved a few degrees off the cpu & gpu temps, but best of all my vrm temps have dropped considerably now the fans are pushing cool air on to them smile.gif

VRMs top out at 50C, whereas before changing anything it was getting up to 65C

Happy is me!

Well glass doesnt scratch as easily, desont reflect as harshly, isnt as big as a dust magnet. But I am more concerned about it not scratching as easily.
