Awesome! I might go with vinyl wrapping since its something I'm quite good at. I also keep considering cutting a slot near the rear of the ssds since right angled adapters are out of the question right now. Except I took two end adapters and flipped the wires to make it work.

I thought about that also, but I talked myself out of it as the rewards aren't worth the work in my opinion. I also picked up some white carbon fiber vinyl wrap from 3M...don't wrap it around the ends as the rivets will not align properly after that...been there, done that.

If I end up wrapping the outside, I may wrap the psu cover to match...that was my original intention, but that's a long way away. Great idea though!

Finished my custom made PSU shroud yesterday.
Used left over panel material from the window cut out.
And finally, found a place to mount my Sentry 2 fan controller. biggrin.gif

Looks little plain at the moment. I'm going to get some carbon fiber vinyl wrap and dress it up.

Sweet. The added depth is nice as the factory psu cover has no depth, massive modding to mount anything in there. Are you going to mount your ssd's on top still? Black or White fiber wrap?

I got my one and only SSD mounted on the back of the case and my 1TB HDD under the shroud. biggrin.gif
So, I don't really have anything to mount on the top of the shroud.

I think I'm gonna got with black CF wrap and mimic the H440 black/white theme.

I agree with the black. As you can see in post 1268, the black cover with the white background stands out! I'm looking forward to seeing the wrap.

Hi all,

I have got the H440 case I am just waiting for my 2 EVGA 780 classies to arrive but from what I can read here ppl have changed the fan config in lieu of not enough air coming through front for the most part.

I would like your guidance on the fan setup I was thinking about and which fans would suit best.

I was going to go with:

1 - Removing three of the hdd racks from the bottom up so that my two 3.5 drives sit at the top two racks
2 - leaving the 3 stock fans in the front set to intake
3 - placing two 140 mm NZXT FN fans with green led (I have the white case and I am going for a white/green theme) set to intake
4 - placing a h90 in push/pull on the rear for the cpu

Where I need advice is whether I firstly change the fans in the front (which make and model), change the top setup to 3*120mm fans (which make and model) and whether I should just leave the h90 with one 140mm on pull

I am coming from a lianli pc8000 case (63 cms high with 6 fans on intake) so airflow has never been an issue running sli previously given the huge airflow I had so I don't want to get big temps with this build. I am hoping for something like 60-70 degrees on the cards under load.

Is this possible with a good fan setup in this case?

Cheers

That's pretty much how I ended up setting my fans and it cools pretty well.

I opted to use the 2 bottom HDD trays, but that's only because I'm using 3 x 120mm fans on top and didn't want the 3rd fan blocked.

The front fans that come with the case do a good enough job in my opinion and removing all unused HDD trays helped a lot in keeping my GPUs cool

I have the top fans as intake also, but went for 3 x 120mm (only because they were the only fans I had to hand, but 2 x 140mm should be fine) and have my h80i as a push/pull exhaust

This case seems to be a bit of a trial and error with airflow
