My plans in the future is to change the 240 Radiator in the front with a 360 Radiator and move the 240 Radiator to the top and adding the CPU to the loop.
The space in the H440 is tight but I got the D5 pump and reservoir plus a 4TB and a 2TB HDD inside.
So far I am very happy with the H440 but the biggest problem is the front panel which does not have enough airflow so I running my PC with it off. What I am thinking is cutting the steel in the front panel exactly where the fans are, and adding somekinda mesh.

Looks great, yeah the front airflow is a bit weak, everyone has discovered it. Let me know if you want to some help doing a front panel mod for airflow

Hello everyone, hope all the builds are going as planned and no one is having issues besides the 10-15 degree temp increase from the panels airflow on the case. Since a lot of the members here are wanting better temps with either the front or top panel being modified I am going to openly offer a little service to y'all for me to help those in here who don't have the tools or knowledge to do this. Custom cuts into the front panel per your design or one I help create, or adding fan and or rad grills like I have on "Megatron." Not exactly sure what the OCN rules are about being not a vendor or seller but selling a service as a panel fabricator tongue.gif Ill check into this to see if this would be an issue but I don't think It would be. If (Dwood was around I'd talk to him... RIP bud). Anyway if anyone wants me to help them do any modifications feel free to post about it or P.M. me, some of you have in the past. All that the costs would be which ever grill, or mesh and shipping and maybe like $10 buck or something small just for my time. Love to help y'all and its fun to do since I have most of the tools to accomplish it.

Edit: I don't have access to a lazer jet or CNC

Can anyone confirm the max rad thickness that can go in the top of the h440 please, just planning my rebuild from a phantom 410 to the red/black 440 and working out my loop config, read elsewhere is 30mm but want to check.

Thanks

30,35 would be fine. I've see a 45 done but just depends on your mobo, the h440 grills are a little offest for the 8pin power and such but I wouldn't go bigger than like an xspc 35mm rad

Thanks, currently have an Ex240 in my phantom roof, will plan a nice 360 for the front of the 440 now.

I guess I can try to change the fan setup as Tweakin suggested. Currently I have 4 Corsair fans push/pull on the radiator on the front, two Noctua 120mm push on the top radiator and one 140mm Noctua in the back. I'll try and see if it makes any difference setting the top fans to intake instead.

I havent bothered so much with it yet, but I am still thinking I have to mod the front panel to get enough airflow smile.gif
Once I put the front panel on, the temps go up 2-3c on the GPU within a few minutes when the card is idling.

H630 question, what would you guy use to fill the excess holes around the fans to prevent recirculation of the air? I was aiming for some soundproof material, but I wonder if there is something better out there for the job?

@sgtgates, I see what your doing with the front thumb.gif, but I'm not a big copy cat, I have a design in my head that is mostly one of a kind I belive I'll order a dremel and go at the design. If i mess it up I can always order another case and atempt to send the other one back in hehehe

Should work great, putting the 240 uptop and 360 upfront will allow for easier tube routing

Lol idc if any one copy's my ideas, just means the were pleasing to others! Good luck with your design, I sure it works great. This build of mine was meant to be subtle yet bold, so my other rig will have small extravagant cuts. Let me know if you need and dremel or cutting ticks/techniques. thumb.gif
