I see. I was under the impression it was a controller.

I'll just unplug the fans from it and plug in the motherboard instead then, seems a bit of a waste

So all of my fans (Parvum F1 120mm) all run at 80%. the older hub doesn't include a pwn feature unfortunately.

There is a wire from it that says PWM Connector. I connected this to a fan header on the motherboard (Asus Formula VIII) and in the bios changed that header from DC to PWM, thinking the motherboard would now control the fans but still they come on a full speed.

Hey guys im in the market for a case, i love nearly everything about the H440 from the reviews ive seen but everyone is saying this case runs hot....how hot are we talking?

Does the case do better with air cooling? If i was to put an AIO inside of it do fans exist that could go outside the case under the top cover that blow sideways to push heat out of the venting on the side?

Like I said, only the 2015 new editions have PWN control. Either get a refund on the case and get the newer edition, or by an NZXT or other branded PWN controller.

6600k @ 4.9ghz runs at around 30 idle max of 55 on load With a Cryorig A40 Ultimate AIO.

980ti 1475/2100 runs at around 30 idle, max of 65-80 depends on fan speed.

Have three intake fans @ 80% , two top fans on the AIO @ 60% and rear fan on 80%.

I wouldn't say it's super hot, but an AIO is definitely better for the H440.

Hey guys, I just got this case and I love it! I have a question though.

The 3 front fans are plugged into the fan hub on the side of the case, they're not "loud" but definitely audible especially for a supposedly "quiet" case.

Would me plugging those 3 fans directly into the motherboard make any difference? I've read that the fan hub sets the speed to 100%.

Thanks.

Well there are two H440 variants, I assume you have the original one. The newer 2015 V2 edition comes with a pwn fan hub, basically the same but it allows control of the fans speed. However if you do have the newer one, then maybe you haven't plugged the 'pwn fan header' into one of the motherboard pwn pins.

Does anyone have their hard drives set up like the following picture in this case? With a couple drives per tray.

If you do what is the length in-between sata power connections on the drives with the same orientation? Trying to figure out what sata power splitter to buy for it.

I have the top three next to each other which allowes my front air intake to be better. My PSU cables fit nicely in them. I wouldn't really know what's the best length. But 90 degree angled cables are definitely better for them.

Am I seeing 11 3.5in drives + 2 slots for 2.5in drives in this case?

Puts my larger h630 to shame...

Is there any way to accommodate an E-ATX motherboard in this case?
