I ordered the white one from amazon, looks like I should have checked tiger first. Waiting a month is ok though, it gives me time to figure out what I want to do and generate some more money to do it with. It's my first watercooling build so I don't know anything brand wise and only some of the basics (so far) so it's definitely going to be a challenge.

In the video you posted someone said they could put dry ice in the res. If I'm planning on doing that does it effect the size/type of res I should get? I want to get a big one but it looks like I'm going to have some issues fitting it in there...

Well it is finally official, I can be added to the owners list. I finally received mine yesterday.

Despite everything that went down with this order, I would like to thank Ryan C. @ NZXT for stepping up to the plate and making things right!

Just waiting on some AF140's to throw in to finish off the red/black look.

Let me know what you guys think i should name it. I thought of black widow , but it seems cheesy as heck!

Well, if you got a white one, you could be like me and name yours "The Fridge" (it kind of looks like one). I was even going to find some cheesy magnets to complete the look. tongue.gif

This may be dating me, but I would name yours KITT (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mo8Qls0HnWo)

How is everyone controlling their fans? Mine aren't loud, but they are driving me nuts. Speedfan is not working for me and a solution could be using Corsair Link (it fits in 3.5" areas).

Controlling fans:
Something like scythe kaze master or slave, but lots of wires to deal with.
Staying with NZXT, they have a nifty controller internal (5inch bay) or desktop version.

Much less messy, but less control, are adapters which either insert a resistance, or swap the power pins:
Gnd to 12V =12
Gnd to 5V = 5 (fan may not start!)
5V to 12V = 7V (about half speed)

Very true about the adapters - I picked up a 5 pack from Amazon for something like 5 bucks.... 12v - 7v. They get a bit warm but so far I haven't noticed any issue. They worked on my 120s as well as the 140 and reduced the noise drastically. I set up my H105 to push warm air out, which seems to work ok. I'll be looking at temps this weekend....

Hi everyone, new to overclock.net but not computers. This is a build log of my nzxt h440. In about another week starting on sons 2011 build so far all that is decided is the evga gtx 780ti sc acx and i7 4930k both of which have been purchased. I could really use some help on the motherboard choice: EVGA,ASUS,GIGABYTE,MSI. The case will be nzxt h series but not sure which one. The parts used on my build were as follows
MSI Z87 GD65
I5 4670K
GEIL 2133 RAM 8GB
CORSAIR H100I
CORSAIR CX600 PS
EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX WITH BACKPLATE and of course the H440.

I had planned to overclock the i5 but on a whim decided to try msi oc genie and it clocked it to 4.4 ghz and that was good enough for me.

Hahaha, Phibz. I saw NZXT post your build on their facebook page. I was like "Hey, he finally got is case!"

Your build looks like the evil twin of my white/black build, except the thermal armor on that ASUS board kills my regular old motherboard. If ASUS ever makes a motherboard with thermal armor without any color accents, I'd be all over it. Thinking about it, Evil Twin would actually be a cool name for it. But then you would have to explain about the weirdo on OCN telling you to name it Evil Twin.

And hopentethking's build looks like ours had a baby.

Excited to see some other H440s coming in finally, everything looks really great. It's so easy to make clean looking builds in this case; I haven't seen a messy H440 yet.
