So between know and whenever Intel is ready to release X99 and Nvidia their 800 series I have to prepare an ultra quiet water cooling setup that will not restrict the stupid amount of voltage I like to put into everything. I'm not new to building, but I am definitely new to watercooling, and even though I can use google and read reviews as much as anyone else, I'd REALLY rather take solid recommendations from you guys who have similar goals to mine.

I already have a MB, CPU and GPU I'll be using until later in the year. I don't think they're worth getting waterblocks for (especially the FX-6350). I have the only PSU I'll ever need: Seasonic Platinum 1000w, and DDR4 ram isn't available to even look at.
I'm getting "the only pump I recommend" from Linus Tech Tips.

This leaves the radiators(no flipping idea), fans, res and other accessories.

I know everyone says "Get the SP120 for your radiators!" But I really just don't have faith in the noise levels of a fan that was not made for silence in the first place. Am I just being snobby? Are these really the fans to go with? Last time I did the "try it and see" approach I was wrong. (Surprise! FX-6350 will will be a bottleneck even at 4.6 Ghz)!
Here's some suggestions:

- slim 360mm Alphacool UT30 to the top, 240mm Alphacool XT45 or UT60 to the front should fit perfectly, 2x 360 leaves you with no HDD space and will be very tight
- D5 pump with pump top (better performance and out of box compatible with compression fittings), small reservoir like Phobya Balancer 150 should fit below rear fan
- EK Supremacy block, has Intel and AMD mountings so you could do a practice loop with your current components. Really good performance.
- Scythe Gentle Typhoons are best rad fans, quite a bit better than SP120s, but they're going out of stock. If you want them you should buy some asap (1050 - 1450rpm). SP120 is not silent at full blast, people buy them just for the good looks
- Primochill Advanced LRT is the best tubing on the market and comes with various colors and sizes

It's not like I run it at those temps though, that only happens in prime95 after a few minutes. In Far Cry 3 it's usually in the low to mid 80's. Right now it's idling at 44c.

Less that a year old, sounds like the one you got was just borked from the beginning with air in there. I wonder if it's still covered under a warranty?

Thanks for the compliments there's a lot of red and black builds out there I think it looks good not too original though these days ;-). I'd like to see more color options from NZXT...

Temps with only cpu loaded aren't so interesting to me, it's gonna work like an h105 would be expected to work and there are plenty of reviews about that. Things are more interesting once the gpu gets going too. Case airflow and fan arrangements matter a lot more with another 250w of heat being shed inside the case smile.gif

OK, so I'm loving my h440, the temps are good. My sli 760s are OCed at 1172 core and 1600mhz memory, I haven't touched my ram yet, but I also got my 3570k @ 4.5 and m idling at around 35(bounces between 29-37 for idle and low load) and p95 I maxed out at 81 and this is just stock fansand I threw two more exhaust 120s up top, and using a CM hyper n520 hsf. Any thoughts on my temps? I think they're good but water is a few months away.

Personally I think thus has been the best case, both aesthetically and functionally or air cooling I've had.

yeah those temps are nice! I'm running 4670k at 4.3ghz and getting idle temps around 35-40c if i remember correctly, I gave up on Prime95 I felt like temps where getting too high it would hit 82-83 at high point. I am going to try and resseat the X60 asap, but I managed to strip the backing plate when trying to remove it, so now I have to hold the metal threaded inserts with needle nose so they don't just spin in place on the bracket... I didn't think that I used much pressure installing it... now waiting on NZXT to hopefully send me a new LGA back plate.rolleyes.gif

haswell sound a little frustrating... clk for clk a little faster than earlier gens + can be overclocked, so far so good, but the temp issues are exacerbated even moreso than ivy... so ultimately little to no gain in practice compared to earlier gens. idk, maybe the best thing about them are the new mobos?

Pretty much right, I usually build clients haswell unless they go serious custom loop. Ivy bridge and haswell is about the same price so for air or CLC might as well go haswell. For the fun of high overclocking I go high end ivy for better thermals and overclocking potential numbers fun. But yes the haswell boards are nice with the voltage feeding change and the fact that their 1150 socket isnt dead.
