- D5 pump with pump top (better performance and out of box compatible with compression fittings), small reservoir like Phobya Balancer 150 should fit below rear fan
- EK Supremacy block, has Intel and AMD mountings so you could do a practice loop with your current components. Really good performance.
- Scythe Gentle Typhoons are best rad fans, quite a bit better than SP120s, but they're going out of stock. If you want them you should buy some asap (1050 - 1450rpm). SP120 is not silent at full blast, people buy them just for the good looks
- Primochill Advanced LRT is the best tubing on the market and comes with various colors and sizes

Thank you so much, +1 rep! thumb.gif I just checked out every product, fantastic list. But I still have a few questions!

I saw the 360mm UT60 White Edition, is it unreasonable to think I could fit this on top? http://bit.ly/1i24BKR I'm going for a mostly white theme with a black MB. (Or a white one, if only it existed)! I should also mention I don't really need any HDD space, I'm currently using one HDD but I really don't want to be. It's only temporary. The White edition doesn't come in slim, only 60 and 80 depth and 360mm length.

I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to WC, and there's a whole list of D5 pump top related things here.. which ones? http://bit.ly/1lQGfaB (Sorry)

The fact that EK Supremacy Universal is compatible with my current setup and Intel makes it my #1 choice, but only if it will fit the 2011-3 socket as I'm planning on getting Haswell-E in June. I found this comparison of the two sockets, but I don't fully understand it. http://bit.ly/Og4sJf (Sorry again)

No objections with Scythe Gentle Typhoon, I was already considering them! They look a bit grey but they won't be facing directly outwards so it's ok. I found some 1450 120mm for only $16 http://bit.ly/1fmHYRp. I want to be able to control to fans while still making use of the built in case slitter, if I do that is it a better idea to get the 1850rpm?

PrimoFlex Advanced LTR, WOW. I hadn't even looked into tubing yet, you have no idea how much time you've saved me! Thank you Sied Dark! biggrin.gif

I'm sure 60mm rad won't fit unfortunately, that white Alphacool would've looked amazing on white H440. Max on top seems to be about 30-35mm, maybe 45mm if your motherboard and memory heatsinks are not tall.

2011-3 cooler mounts should be the same, I don't see why Intel would change that. EK will release new mounting packet in case of incompatibility.

About the pump, I would choose this quality EK combo: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21014/ex-pmp-245/EK_D5_X-Top_Pump_Top_w_D5_Vario_Pump_-_Black_Acetal_EK-D5_Vario_X-TOP_incl_pump.html It's expensive but you get what you're paying for. You could fit this inside HDD cage or below PSU shroud.

If you don't need to see the reservoir from side window this could be a combo that's easy to use, mounted inside HDD cage: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21023/ex-pmp-252/EK_D5_X-RES_Top_140_w_D5_Vario_Pump_EK-D5_Vario_X-RES_140_incl_pump.html Has pump, pump top and reservoir in same package. I'm quite sure it's too wide to fit on top of the PSU shroud unlike that Phobya Balancer for example.

In addition, you need compression fittings, this is pretty popular size: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21226/ex-tub-1995/EK_G14_Thread_Perfect_Seal_Compression_Fitting_-_10mm_ID_x_16mm_OD_38_x_58_-_Black_.html Fittings and tubing need to be same size, eg. 10mm ID x 16mm OD (3/8" x 5/8").

1850rpm Scythe GT won't be unbearably loud to most people but it will be somewhat noisy at full rpm, of course it can be downvolted when computer is idle for quiet operation. 1450rpm has good balance between noise and cooling power IMO. I don't know if built in fan splitter in H440 is able to change fan speed if connected to the motherboard header, maybe some owner could tell more about that?

It would be a good idea to plan how to drain your loop when needed. Feel free to ask on OCN Watercooling club about that or some other things, there's many experts there. http://www.overclock.net/t/584302/ocn-water-cooling-club-and-picture-gallery/0_50

Yes great advice Dark,

You will not be able to fit the white ut60 up top unless you mod a rad/fan grill on top of the h440 panel. This gives you and extra 25mm of space above rad under panel for a fan, Thus acting as a 45mm size rad when mounting. I would go for the 30 or 45mm though, no modding needed.

The ek supremacy is a good choice given the flexibility of it system wise, so pick whichever design in those you like. Im not sure about it fitting the 2011-3 have to research.

Advanced lrt is what i use, great stuff.

This top would work too, rally any will but its ek

and this pump

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/13147/ex-pmp-131/Alphacool_VPP655_Variable_Speed_Pump_w_RPM_Monitoring_-_Single_Edition.html

You can add the alphacool pump in the cart with the pump top together, either way your good to go.

As far as the typhoons go, it personal preference for sound level, every ones opinion is a little different. You cant go wrong with either one

im still waiting for my H440. for now im using the bitfenix shinobi just until H440 arrive where i live. will be in a month or two. i just build my first PC over the weekend. i self-study for around 2 months or so, youtubing and reading articles, my PC is now up and running. i'd like to ask a couple questions about my installations if you guys fellow H series owners don't mind

firstly, the PC pict. this is my 1st PC

1) Regarding Video card installation::
==> My r9 270x vga have 2x6 pin connector. My psu is modular and comes with 2 pci-e express cable labeled SLI ready.
Unlike the regular psu pci-e cable i saw on youtube installation guide... My psu pci-e cable has 2 ends like in the photo below. Each cable has 2 ends and each end has 6 + 2 pin connector.
On the picture im using both cables that's supplied from my PSU. My question is... do i only need to plug in one cable to the vga (because each cable has 2 x 6+2 pin connector) or do i have to plug in both cable?

2) Regarding 6 holes for speaker::
==> there's 6 holes for speaker, other than the one for mic. im confused about the other 5. which one should i use if my current speaker is an el-cheapo portable speaker with 1 plug. and also, which one is the one for plugging in my headphones?

3) Regarding VGA Boost::
==>i read that combining msi board with msi vga then there wil be advantage feature called vga boost. I couldn't find the option anywhere in the BIOS nor in the MSI command center. I dl'd the msi gaming app but its only look like this photo

Which software i should download and where is it located?

4) Regarding general driver installation::
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/H87G43_GAMING.html#download
http://www.msi.com/product/vga/R9_270_GAMING_2G.html#download

what driver and utility should i install and which ones are bloatwares? do you guys mind pointing it out for me?

on the MSI board download page there are superRAID / Live Update / Command Center / Supercharger / sound blaster / intel extreme tuning ability / fastboot

i hv no experience with PC, but based on the title alone, i think i don't need supercharger and intel extreme tuning ability.
i definitely need command center.
i'm not sure about superRAID and Live Update. Do i need to install Live Update? and since i'm not RAIDing my storage. do i need superRAID utility?

are those utilities making the boot slow? 70-80 seconds for a windows 8 boot on a high-performance SSD feels really bad.

5) Regarding far slower boot than my expectation::
==> The reason i asked no.3 question is because i installed all the drivers and utilities from the board and vga page. But then i notice that the time to boot from power off using my i5 ULV laptop with intel 330 is far faster than this PC that's using a OCZ Vector 150 and a i5-4570.

Id like to ask why my cheap laptop boot far faster than the pc?

The boot to windows itself is fairly fast. But the dragon gaming logo showed up for far too long 30 seconds-ish or so.

6) Regarding Fastboot option (both MSI and BIOS)::
==>Do i need to install msi fast boot or enable fastboot on bios or smthn? Because i notice there's both the regular and msi fast boot option on bios. Also theres the msi fast boot utility... which one should i install?

7) i read about sleving cables articles from google. i'm not going to DIY my cable myself since the tools is not easy to find here at my place. (at least i cant find it in my local walmart). i also find that my local retailers sell sleeved extension cables like this one here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-071-BX

is extension cable different than normal cables? that color extension cables looks nice, what's the purpose of those extension cable? is it only for extending PSU cable for better cable management or can it replace the PSU cable, say i replace the pci-e cable on my PSU and use that extension, to make my board looks cool from the window

cheers,

*ps: i hv some other question about fan as well but i'll ask that later.. cheers biggrin.gif

I don't have time to answer everything right now, but just at quick glance, use L-Out for your speakers.

#1 1 Cable should work since it is meant to run two cards.

#2 use the green plug for mono out audio

#3 can't help you i'm not sure
thumb.gif

Edit:Sorry, I am a little confused about question 1 now that I re-read it. If you have a cable that runs from the psu and is splitting into 2 6+2 pin connectors you need to plug both into the card, just want to clarify that you want both connections on the graphics card plugged in.

You should make a put your rig in your sig so folks can see in more detail what components you got in there. Look at the end of your profile page where it sayz "Create a new rig" and get that to show up in your sig.

even with 1 cable i can plug both branch 6+2 pin connector to the VGA. Let me rephrase it, sorry for my english biggrin.gif i have 2 PCI-e cable from my modular PSU. each cable has a branch at the end. each branch has 6+2 pin connector in it. i don't understand whether it's okay to use 1 cable and use both branch to the VGA, or do i must plug both PCI-e cables and leave the branches from both cable dangling...? (since the youtube installation videos doesn't cover PCI-e cables that have branches)
