alright thats good to know. thank you for the info. because at the moment i have two cables runs from the PSU and im plugging 6 pins from each cable, leaving 2 pin and 6 + 2 pin hanging from 2 cables, and that feels a little dumb. that's good to know i can get away with just one cable biggrin.gif

2) i'd like to ask about the audio cable. so... most nicer boards have some audio features, like my board has this thing called audio boost. is the audio boost only works if i plug in my speaker / headphones to the back of the PC (part of the motherboard), or will it also works if i plug in my headphones to the headphone jack that's part of the case?

3) how do you guys route the audio cable from the case top to the bottom left of the board so as not to look visible like on my build? that's the one part of the cable management that im a little not quite satisfied yet

(since the youtube installation videos doesn't cover PCI-e cables that have branches)

1.Plug both of the 6 pin in to the 270. Leave both extra 2 pins off to the side, tuck them under out of the way. Youll need both 6 pins to run.

2. Yes, the middle green plug, L-out

3-4. I'm not familiar wit that msi app and drivers. I just load the amd catylist drivers and call it good for amd cards. No need for the rest of it.

5-6. If there is no fast boot option in bios try each fast boot driver you listed and see which one works best for you, I've done msi boards but this I haven't come across

7. sleeved extensions serve 2 purposes. 90% of the time just for looks, sometimes a build needs the actual extra length. I would purchase extensions of your choice since the h440 can hide the extra slack well

What questions about fans?

as far as routing the audio cable its really hard in a case like that. Is there a hole behind the psu below the audio post? try jamming it up through there and putting psu back

as far as routing the audio cable its really hard in a case like that. Is there a hole behind the psu below the audio post? try jamming it up through there and putting psu back

1) my PCI-e cable looks like this

so i can get away with just plugging in 1 cable and plug both 6 pins in yes? do i need to plug both cable and leave many branches dangling around? i just found the picture just now from my card

2) i'd like to ask about drivers and utilities first before fans and molex, so on my motherboard page regarding the driver, i've installed intel chipset / intel engine / killer driver / realtek driver.

i haven't install smartconnect / small business advantage / IRST driver for 8x and IRST driver. i don't understand any of those from just reading the title. Which one of those are compulsory to install? would you guys point out which ones is optional / i probably won't need? also... is IRST a RAID Driver or an SSD driver?

i tried googling IRST driver just now and from the little info i read it seems like a RAID driver, does that mean i won't need it ATM since i dont RAID?

3) same questions with the board utilities.... there are these utilities listed there... superRAID / Live Update / Command Center / Supercharger / sound blaster / intel extreme tuning ability / fastboot

i hv no experience with PC, but based on the title alone, i think i don't need supercharger and intel extreme tuning ability, my CPU is non-K.
i definitely need command center just because i want to control the cpu fans.
i'm not sure about superRAID and Live Update. Do i need to install Live Update? and since i'm not RAIDing my storage. do i need superRAID utility?

are those all just bloatware? which ones are compulsory to install and which ones aren't?

4) so the extension cables for the PSU, it's for extension and not for replacing the PSU cable itself? so does it go PSU Cable => extension => motherboard?

so the plug that goes to the motherboard is the sleeved color extension plug is it? so it'll look good from the window...?

Well, if I only had a garage... three kids here as well ages 5 - 10 urging to play Minecraft. Old refurbished puter is not there yet, it's going to be there's.

Regarding the case, I wonder if I should go the Wookie way or hold out? But the 750D feels too big, are there any other cool options? I really can' wait until mid-April and who knows they might delay it agian... sob sob

Thanks. Actually doesn't look too shabby for me, not like the H440 nut may very well work just fine. Like the swappable drive bay. smile.gif It's a bit deeper than h440 but still not as deep as the 750d. And it is in stock! Will need to by some more fans so price would be similar as for h440.

Doesn't seem like the h110 will fit though... as there's only room for 2x120 or 1x140 fans in top or elewhere... frown.gif

Anyone else have any suggestions?

some modding required to fit the H110

Edit: come to think of it, probably not the most practical idea, but it's an idea

Well...you could always go for the CoolerMaster Trooper or Stryker!

Not to deter you from just simply waiting it out for the H440 though. smile.gif
