H50 vs H100i Temp Difference?

Thread Starter
Was wondering if someone knew the temp difference between the two.
I only found a few reviews that had the two compared & the results are completely different for each review.

Thanks for any responses! thumb.gif

well i have an H100 and it gives me 29C idle and 50 max with OCed at 4.5. Now the H50 is a 120mm rad unlike the H 100i that is 240mm thus must defiantly be cooler. now i dont know how much but id say go for the h100i.

I can't give you a direct comparison but I did go from a Corsair h50 to Swiftech H220. I would imagine the H100i to have higher temps. Also gotta take into account ambient room temps. Main reason why reviews have different results.

i7 930 @ 4.2ghz 1.4v

Corsair H50 Idle: 34-36c
Corsair H50 Load: 88c (I stopped the stress test because I wasn't comfortable at that temp)
Swiftech H220 Idle: 28-30c
Swiftech H220 Load: 57c

That's a pretty nice drop in temp. I would be happy with 10c less on my temps.

2500k @ 4.5Ghz 1.352v
Ambient: 80F / 26.6C
Thermal Paste: MX-4 - applied with small rice size blob in the middle & spread by water block.
Corsair H50 Idle: 34-40c
Corsair H50 Load: 72-80c (Small FFT / Core with lowest temp & core with highest temp)

Your temps don't seem that bad. You won't ever see it that high playing games. thumb.gif

When gaming it hangs around 55-60c.
I'm just thinking of OCing higher to 4.8-5

4.8ghz is a pretty high OC. I would think you should be able to achieve that with a h100i. All depends on how much voltage it's gonna take.
