Though, this sudden turn around from AMD over the past few years may be down to AMD having hired some ex-NVidia staff.

Best cards at the time according to who?

So what your saying is it's okay for nvidia to charge a premium because they have "the best card" , but it's NOT okay for AMD to release something that will catch them up and possibly make them have the best card at release and have AMD charge a premium?

Why is it ok for nvidia and not AMD?

lol.

Assassin's Creed 5? Anyway, good for whoever benefits. Not running nvidia here and not buying Ubisoft anything again.

It'll be "lovely" right up until the point we start having to have AMD cards for AMD games and Nvidia cards for Nvidia games... rolleyes.gif

I don't know how you think that's what I said...

If AMD had a Titan beater they'd price it accordingly. Probably just below, as to cut into the Titan sales and force a Titan Price drop. But once the cost of the Titan is below that of the new R290X I wouldn't expect AMD to cut further. They'll be the best and most expensive.

The FX-9000 series strings to mind. AMD aren't adverse to high prices.

My comments were only that sure, when released the £800 price tag on the Titan might have seemed obscene to me and you... but it sold, and it was the best performing card at it's release (measured scientifically via benchmarks - that's according to who).

Thanks to this thread I just realized that Watch Dogs will be on the PC as well, looks like I don't have to get a PS4 this year then.
