Im all out of ideas here....

Im having a strange crash with games recently. Ill explain.

At first It was BF3 and HItman Absolution crashing and according to event viewer they both had same exception code so I know they were related 0x0005.

I narrowed it down to DEP causing it. I disabled DEP and everything seemed fine till yesterday.

I installed the BF4 beta, and now when I play I get this random crash with same exception code.

Here is what event viewer has to say:

Faulting application name: bf4.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5242fdca
Faulting module name: bf4.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5242fdca
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0000000000134a8b
Faulting process id: 0x9e4
Faulting application start time: 0x01cebf7f8571552f
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 Beta\bf4.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 Beta\bf4.exe
Report Id: ab07b0ed-2b77-11e3-be8f-bc5ff4adc33c
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

As you can see, its the same exception code I was having before. Only thing is now I don't understand why it happening if DEP is off.

I have spent hours trying to find the culprit of this, some say its RAM related, but I already ran both memtest+ and windows memory diagnostics and they came out clean.

Some also say its a driver conflict, I ran the game with the bare minimum drivers and practically nothing loaded in task menu and still get the crash.

Im all out of ideas here guys, what do you all think?

I have the same problem. Win7 with a pair of 7750s. Not in Xfire since that doesn't work at all. Using the 13.10 Beta2 drivers.

Is it happening in other games as well?

I just tried the bcdedit fix thats floating around. They say its only for 32 bit systems but then I found out that may not be true and it still should work on 64 bit.
Im not home right now so I cant test it, but later on lets see if its stable with the bcdedit increaseuserva fix.

Did you update PunkBuster?
No, just BF4. I really only play BF3 other than that and it's working fine.

I'm beginning to think there's an issue with this beta driver.

I'm beginning to think there's an issue with this beta driver.

I doubt its the driver, I see yo uhave same exception code as me. I will let you know I used to get these crashes in BF3 with same exception code and different drivers.

Im trying to pinpoint the problem, I will let you know what I come up with.

In the mean time anyone else got any ideas?

Guys. I was running 13.8 drivers. played around 5 matches. no issues. Saw that the 13.10 beta 2's had been released, so removed tje 13.8's using Display Driver Uninstaller (at Guru3d), installed the 13.10 beta's 2's, and the first time I opened an online game, at the map, it crashed,

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Went back in, crashed about 2 minutes into gameplay.

3rd time again another crash when playing.

So it's either the uninstaller or drivers which are responsible.

If its drivers why did I experience same crash with previous drivers in BF3 and other games as well?
