These games are heavily CPU based. Back on my stock 3770k (3.4 Ghz) I couldn't keep 60 FPS with Guild Wars 2 (@ 1080p with a GTX 680) anywhere, usually maintaining 55. Now, that's fine and all, but it wasn't until I clocked up to 4.5 Ghz that I noticed I could maintain 60 FPS pretty much constant. Those games are heavily CPU threaded and need quite a bit of CPU power to max. I'd just stick with what you've got and wait for the new series.

Wait for the 290, 290x release.... less than two weeks away, if the 290X is as good as the hype then im jumping ship and selling the 670

Is this still going to be a valid option for me? I'm seeing articles that the 290X is going to cost a lot more then speculated so I assume the others might as well, would they still be in my budget and if I have to go to a cheaper option like the 280 is it worth the upgrade?

Honestly, I wouldn't even upgrade or at the most, get a second 660 Ti. No need for the extra GPU power on an MMO.

2gigs of vram is close to not being enough for a 1440p monitor i wouldn't go for second 660ti i would get something with a little more vram if you plan to play other games in the future newer mmo's and such

i don't play too many mmo's so i cant really tell you how much vram they use but with my 580 im always running out of vram with games at 1080p yeah i have less vram then you but are cards are about the same performance just keep vram in mind for future games that maybe will use more then what your using now
