Budget Build - mATX or ITX being considered

Hello OCN! It surely has been awhile. I've been commissioned for a build for a friend, and have some ideas, but I figure I would petition my friends at OCN to see if any of you can bring new ideas to the table.

Here are some of the guidelines...
  • HARD cap at $450
  • Energy efficient, low power
  • Office work, browsing
  • I'm thinking SSD, and a solid CPU with graphics chip (yes, I'm going to try and do this with an Intel chip)

EDIT: What happened to that Samsung RAM everyone was hot on a year or so ago? I have it in my rig (see below), but can't find it anywhere...

No optical drive, but IMO you don't need one anyway ( I don't have one in my current desktop build ) - comes out a couple $$ shy of your price point, its the most bang for your buck on components with Intel. The PSU is far overkill (you could run it on a 55w PSU) but unfortunately finding good quality low power PSU's is pretty tough.

As for the memory, unfortunately they don't bring it over to the US anymore frown.gif I have a set in my desktop, and you can get pretty decent $$ for it if you decided to sell it as its getting pretty rare.

Below is what i've picked out.

as the picture is a bit difficult to see:

Thanks for the ideas! I definitely had an Ivy Bridge CPU with a lesser graphics unit in the build, so I've made the switch to the Haswell chip you have here. The optical drive is going to depend on my client and whether or not he wants it, I'll have to ask because it seems a lot of ITX cases cut it out.

Interesting to hear about the Samsung RAM, and very disheartening. It's good stuff!

And will a full size PSU fit inside that case? If I'm able to go with no optical drive, I might try to get this Silverstone case.
