Closed down systems don't make for friendly business environments. I've answered this question on other threads, too, so it's out there.
You spent your time under a rock, then.
It's not my responsibility to search for these answers when I'm not the one saying that these apps exist. Don't make a claim and then expect the person you're talking to to do the research. Back up what you're saying. Nobody has done it yet so my point still holds true. I want to see these apps for "grown up purposes" that don't have an equivalent on iOS. Apparently you guys know a lot about them so defend your point instead of dodging the question.
It's a cult fashion statement for a lot of people? Obviously sherlock. The phones are aesthetically pleasing. Shockingly, a lot of android phones are too but I guess those aren't trying to appeal to the fashionable crowed. It's not like those phones come in a myriad of colours, accents and even fabrics with the goal of being fashionable and appealing to their target market. You can say that wanting an aesthetically appealing and functional phone makes someone a tool all day but at least those people aren't benchmarking their phones or criticising others for their purchases on an internet forum.
The thing is, it's always the same argument here... "it's peer pressure to get an iPhone" on "they're just fashionable and nothing else". The users of the iPhone are happy with their product, nobody is peer pressured because if that was the case then the majority of phones out their would be iPhones, which they aren't. Is it really that hard to believe that people just like a product that you don't?
So in summery, defend your arguments and don't expect people to do that work for you. I'd like irrefutable points please. Show me the grown up apps, show me just how much more incredible the android platform is for "grown up" users.Edited by MrLime - 10/3/13 at 4:37pm
