Got a 3550 non k 5 months ago, now I'm kicking myself...

Title says it all... I'm stuck between a rock an a hard place where 5 months ago I upgraded from a Q6600 to an i5-3550 non k....... now I'm realizing I could be getting .7+ more ghz from OC'ing.

Is the difference between 3.8ghz and 4.4ghz/4.5ghz going to be noticeable enough to warrant buying a new 3rd gen k sku? ...and If I purchase a new CPU, how easy will it be to recoup on this lightly used 3550?

The rest of my build is as follows:

ASRock Extreme 4
G.Skill ARES 16gb RAM -1866
GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2gb
7200rpm 500gb WD (being replaced by Samsung 840 pro shortly)
CM Hyper 212 cooler (might replace with h100i if cpu is replaced)
Antec Earthwatts 750w PSU

Probably not enough to warrant the price tag.
If you wanted to upgrade on the same platform I'd probably only just consider the i7 3770k
