I would have paid more for displayport. But I dont think I would do another $100. But this one overclocks then it should still sell like hotcakes. Displayport makes for easy Eyefinity setups.
From multi version that I bought last year - the box says "Designed in USA and made in China" so I think its not made in Korea or a Korean re-brand. This new model comes with a two year warranty.

I doubt it can overlock... those PCBs are only for DVI models and only work on some panels. It looks like this Vue is using a thinner panel with edge to edge glass.
Thank-you for the posts and comments. I am here to answer any questions or if anyone needs clarification regarding the NX-VUE27D.
A few things to note:
Our monitors are designed in the USA and assembled/made in China, not in Korea.
The LG panels we use are A and A+ Grade, which costs a premium because we actually test every panel ourselves to make sure that each production batch meets those panel grades.
Our pixel policy is no more than 3 bright or 3 dark pixel anomalies - if more than 3 pixels anomalies develop during the 2 year warranty we will repair/replace your monitor. This policy meets or exceeds ISO standards that our counterparts adhere to.

I get that the monitor is designed in America but they use the same panels so besides the shell the warranty and the panel controll what is the difference?

The main board is programmed to our specification and features only a DisplayPort input. The NX-VUE27D includes two type of DisplayPort Cables so it works with Thunderbolt and DisplayPort devices right out of the box with no need for additional adapters or converters:
Mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable for Mac and Thunderbolt devices.
DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable for PC/Laptop devices with DisplayPort output.
We also included a Height Adjustable stand that can swivel and pivot 90 degrees to portrait mode:
All of the above source parts from all over the world and assembles/make their products in factories in China just like us. I think for our monitors, we are currently using LG panels and some of our control boards are from Taiwan.

Thank-you for that question. From my understand the NX-VUE27D's wattage may have minor deviations depending on panel batch, power supply model and board suppliers, but it was tested at about 350cd/m2
For sleep usage I do not have the answer to that at this moment but will update this post when I do.
