Site Update Rollup - September 2013

Hey folks,

We've had a few previously unannounced releases over the last month, and wanted to make a rollup announcement of what we've changed and fixed. Please see (and continue to enjoy smile.gif ) the below:

Features and Additions

Improved Content on Product Pages
A few months ago, we gave a pretty major redesign to the Product pages - but many of the changes were visual. We've taken another pass to make the content on the page more useful, and combined many of the sidebar elements (related discussions, reviews, images, etc) into a neat, tabbed interface.

Start YouTube Embeds at specific times
Title is self-explanatory - you can now use the standard YouTube URLS with a specific time included in the Rich Text and BBCode editors and everything will work as expected.

Better Context in Subscription Emails
Until recently, when we emailed you a subscription digest we gave a simple list of threads without much more information about why these things were your subscriptions - now, we're making it more clear which threads have new posts, which threads are new threads in your subscribed forums, and which content you are being notified about because you subscribed to the user who posted it. We're also giving you clear links to the beginning of a thread and the last post you read in it, making it easier to jump to right where you want to start reading from the email.

Single User Review Pages
We've exposed better options for you to see all of a single user's reviews, replacing the previously barren search result format with full text reviews that mirror the same format as the rest of our reviews pages.

Bug Fixes

#13850 - If there is a mistyped image tag in the BB Code editor and "import images" is checked, the editor will gracefully skip over importing from the busted image tag.
#13901 - Users with javascript disabled will be able to give reputation on reviews.
#13904 - The popular sort order for product category pages will no longer truncate one product from the end of the list.
#13921 - Product names will appear in the tags module, rather than camel-cased product tags.
#13923 - Side scroll bars will be added to the smiley dialog when appropriate.
#13940: Forum listings would show "no title" for the last post preview when the last post had been made from Tapatalk 4 for Android.
#13545: Clicking "Next" will now advance through a community album continuously, without getting stuck.
#13979: Users defaulting to the "full page editor" will now have their cursor placed after the quote block when they press the "quote" button on a post.
#13867: CTRL-SHIFT-V now pastes as plaint text in Chrome and Firefox. Safari and IE provide insufficient browser support to enable this feature, however, and will simply execute a normal paste, including formatting.
#13938: Some misplaced pagination controls will move back to the left side of the page, where they should be.
#14012: On Mobile, post preview --> edit --> preview --> edit would sometimes scroll the viewport to an incorrect position. This has been resolved.
#14079: An incorrect icon was showing up for the "delete" control on a just-added tag.
#14053: Submitting an empty comment on a review will now trigger a validation error.
#14060: The hierarchical Fourms menu on the top tab will now correctly obey its configuration of how many levels of depth to show (defaulting to 5)
#14070: Forwarding a PM no longer inserts BBCode into its contents inappropriately.

Its possible the timing there lines up with some DDoS issues we were fighting last weekend. Incomplete page loads could have wrecked formatting.
