Muffled Xbox audio through speakers/amp

Thread Starter
Hi,

I recently connected my Xbox 360 to my Mission M33i speakers through a Cambridge AM5 stereo amp. Voices sound really muffled and I'm not sure why. In game music and sound effects don't sound too bad but speech is very noticeable.

I connected the Xbox to the amp using the Xbox AV cables.

Any idea what the problem could be?

Thanks

Are you able to use the Optical out for your audio? If so, I'd go that route...

Otherwise, you may want to check your equalization settings on your stereo... maybe your 10K range is set too low.

No optical on y amp I'm afraid. It only has Bass/Treble settings and they aren't the problem! Music etc. sounds fine, it's just speech which seems really distorted.
