hello guyz i am looking to buy a new gpu and i have made my mind to buy 650ti boost now and sli them later,so i wanted to know that can my pc can hold 650ti boost sli

current rig:

procy- intel core i5 2500k

mobo - intle dh67bl

ram- 8gb

psu - cm 500w

so as u can see my mobo , psu needs to be change in order to support any good gpu, so i was thinking why not buy a new mobo oc my procy, and new psu for gpu.

so i wanted to know will 650ti boost sli will be a good idea?

i have a evga 650ti boost, i have nothing but good things to say about this card. works well for what i need (mostly starcraft2)

wasn't sure on the fps but i could max starcraft 2 without any lagging/issues

i don't know about doing sli with them unless you can find them close to 100~120$

i would wait a little bit and pick up a gtx760 that is going to drop in price soon

cheapest 650ti is around 150 for 2gb with MIR

2 options, wait a little and get a 760, or get a 650ti boost now and then sell/upgrade later on

i went with the upgrade path of

650ti boost then recently got a 760 for around 240, sold ti boost

You really shouldn't need to overclock you're cpu atm, you would see very little gains outside of benchmarks so it's not really worth the trouble unless you get a second gpu.

You would be much better off getting a good single card and save yourself the hassle of crossfire/sli.

Whats your power supply btw?

you say your psu is cm 500w, do you mean a coolermaster extreme power 500watts?
That's more than enough for a GTX650ti, you dont need to replace it.

If you are going to SLI in the future, make sure you get the 2GB version of the 650ti,
but you are gonna have to buy an SLI capable motherboard with your 2nd 650ti.
