AMD will launch r9 280x for 300usd and probably will peform like hd 7970ghz ,7970ghz(1050 cobre) atm is at 350usd and normal hd 7970(925 core) at 280-300usd and hd 7950 cfx at 400usd(outperform gtx titan)

R9 280x Is un performance similar to hd 7970/7970ghz and r9 290x es the new card from AMD to be the rival of gtx titan

Edit. Another choice is waiting for maxwell por new AMD cards in 2014

I think your right, I will wait and see what comes out as I am not impressed with any of
NVidia 700 series. If I start my new build before any new gpu's come out then I will put my
680 in the new build and keep the 580 in the old system and see what comes out in 2014.
